Desiree Shapiro, New York's full-figured P.I., is dead set against taking another murder case. But her old friend Peter Winters just needs Desiree to figure out who got killed. His fiancee, Mary Ann, and her identical twin, Meredith, were brutally shot in their posh condo. One sister lies in the morgue. The other is in a coma.
